Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Entebbe
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your property for an overnight stay.
Accommodation: 1 night Boma Lodge.
Day 2 – Bwindi National Park
This morning you are transferred to the airport for the scheduled flight to Bwindi National Park and onward road transfer to your lodge.
Accommodation: 3 nights Mahogany Springs Safari Lodge.
Day 3 – Bwindi National Park
After an early morning briefing, experienced trackers will lead you into the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. After spending an unforgettable hour observing the gorillas you will return to the lodge for late lunch. This afternoon will be at leisure. (BLD)
GORILLA TRACKING: The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within metres of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 850 remaining in the wild. This is an experience you won’t easily forget!
Day 4 – Bwindi National Park
Today if you have pre-purchased a second gorilla permit you will trek again, or for those not undertaking a second visit, there are walks to explore the local area. (BLD)
Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you drive to the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda’s oldest park – with a stop enroute to visit the Ishasha Community Project. (BLD)
Accommodation: 1 night Ishasha Wilderness Camp.
Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
An early morning game drive before breakfast and then check out and drive to the Central sector of the park, check-in for lunch at your next accommodation. Afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi area returning to the lodge before dusk for dinner. (BLD)
Accommodation: 2 nights Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Another day in the park with early morning and late afternoon game drives and after lunch enjoy a scheduled boat cruise on the Kazinga channel (approx. 2 ½ hours). (BLD)
Day 8 – Kibale Forest National Park
Today enjoy chimpanzee trekking in Chamburu before driving to Kibale Forest and an optional afternoon swamp walk. (BLD)
Accommodation: 2 nights Primate Lodge.
Day 9 – Kibale Forest National Park
Today enjoy chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. (BLD)
Day 10 – End of Uganda Highlights Tour
Today is a full day’s drive back to Entebbe with a stop at the markets in Kampala. (BL)
