Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Skeleton Coast Concession
On arrival at Windhoek Airport you will be met by an Ultimate Safaris representative who will brief you on your safari and introduce you to your pilot. You will board your C210 single-piston light aircraft flight to Shipwreck Lodge, flying via Doro Nawas, where you might land to refuel.
On arrival at the Möwe Bay Airstrip, you are met by a lodge guide and transferred on a nature drive to the lodge. If time allows, embark on a shared scheduled lodge activity as offered by the lodge this afternoon. (D)
In order for the timings to work out, we recommend that you arrive on an international flight before 11h00.
Accommodation: 3 nights Shipwreck Lodge
Day 2 to Day 3 – Skeleton Coast Concession
The next two days are filled with exciting guided activities as arranged by the camp and after discussions with your lodge-based guide – these include scenic nature drives within the northern Skeleton Coast National Park, drive along the Hoarusib River and sundowner drive to the dune fields. All of these expose the astonishing desert-adapted wildlife, plants and birdlife of the area. One of the main highlights here is an excursion to the Möwebay seal colony, where you will also have the opportunity to visit the remnants of the Suiderkus and Karimona shipwrecks.
Day 4 – End of Skeleton Coast Escape journey
This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Möwebay airstrip again for your private chartered light aircraft flight in a C210 Doro Nawas, back to Windhoek International Airport. On arrival you will be met by an Ultimate Safaris representative who will return your excess luggage (if any) to you and assist you to the 2-hour check-in of your international departing flight home.
