KENYA | TANZANIA – 19 AUG – 29 AUG 2023 – This 11-day escorted journey to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration of Eastern Africa begins in Nairobi, Kenya. We travel through Lake Nakuru NP and Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya before flying to Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater and finishing in Arusha the ‘safari capital’ of the world.

ITinERARY
Day 1 NAIROBI (B)
On arrival at Nairobi Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Sarova Panafric Hotel. Meet and greet our group.
Overnight: The Sarova Panafric Hotel
Day 2 LAKE NAKURU GAME RESERVE (B,L,D)
This morning after breakfast we will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Lake Nakuru National Park followed by an afternoon game drive.
Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
Day 3 – 5 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (B,L,D)
Day 3 After breakfast on we will drive to the Masai Mara followed by lunch and an afternoon game drive.
Day 4 Morning game drive in Masai Mara and a visit to a Masai village.
Day 5 Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives to witness the Great Migration of wildebeest over the Mara River.
Overnight: Loyk Luxury Mara Camp
Day 6 – 7 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (B,L,D)
After breakfast on Day 6, we will depart with packed lunches and fly to Serengeti. On arrival, we will be met and enjoy a game drive en route to our lodge. Afternoon at your leisure.
On Day 7 after breakfast, we have a full day of game drives in the Serengeti National Park.
Overnight: Serengeti Sounds of Silence Resort
Hot air ballooning followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast is on offer here for a more extravagant experience in the savannah (own expense).
Day 8 – 9 NGORONGORO (B,L,D)
Saturday breakfast drive to the Karatu area for your stay at the Ngorongoro Farmhouse, with packed lunches. Arrive in the late afternoon with the rest of the day at leisure.
Sunday enjoy breakfast before descending over 600m down to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Covering over 250 sq km of land, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to the rare black rhino, lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope, and wildebeest, and is one of Africa’s most unbelievable landscapes. Explore the forest and lake areas where you may see flamingos and open savannah. A picnic lunch will be served in the crater, before driving back late afternoon to Ngorongoro Farmhouse for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – 11 ARUSHA (B,L,D)
Day 10 After breakfast we will drive to Arusha and the rest of the afternoon at our leisure.
Day 11 We will be met after breakfast and transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for our onward flights.
